We are now almost finished with our scheduled programs in Russia. We have one more day of the weekend retreat, with seven new disciples taking discipleship at the ceremony tomorrow. It is such a joy to see these souls blossom through the understanding of Master’s teachings.
This weekend has been a blend of two themes: discipleship and community. Since Ananda communities have discipleship as their foundation, it is a great topic.
People in various groups around Russia have been preparing students to take discipleship at this retreat, and two groups of Ananda people here are about to start communities in different areas. One group has purchased a house with a small parcel of land, and the other group is renting a large group house while working towards purchasing land.
A third group of people came to the weekend program because they are starting an Eco Village, and wanted to learn more about how to start a community, even though they are not (yet) on this path. They said it has been important for them to see how meaningful it is to have a spiritual foundation for their efforts, so this is a good start for them.
May this idea of cooperative communities “spread like wildfire!”
Here is a photo of the group after the Kriya ceremony last Thursday.
Mila’s country house is located very near the Volga River. Below is a photo taken of it on one of our walks.
This tenacious little plant is growing is a tiny crack in a stair step high above the ground. How strong life force is! May this plant remind us of the life that flows through us, and may we never doubt it’s divine origin.
We did several walking meditations in the beautiful pine forests.
Here is a photo of us about to sing with the Moscow Ananda choir. These dear souls love Swami’s music. They have visited Ananda Assisi, and have learned some of his songs there, also.
We look forward to seeing all of you soon! Thank you for all your prayers!
Love and blessings,
Aum, Nirmala and Dharmadas
