Claudia has also been an avid student of yoga for over 14 years. She discovered yoga after suffering from a debilitating and painful nerve condition. Because of the balancing, healing and restorative power of yoga, she now enjoys skiing, biking and even rock climbing. She uses her experience of healing herself with the help of yoga postures and meditation to help others. It is the additional promise through Ananda yoga of spiritual relaxation, and connection with something greater that inspires her teaching and practice. Her teaching focuses on helping her students relax and learn to practice hatha yoga with safety, enthusiasm and joy. She also loves challenging her students and helping them learn something new in every class!
Claudia is a Yoga Alliance 200RYT, a certified Ananda Yoga Teacher, certified Ananda Meditation 1 Teacher and certified Ananda Restorative Yoga Teacher.
Claudia teaches a class that allows me to center with gentle yoga postures. She uses uplifting affirmations and grounding breath work. I always feel rejuvenated and relaxed after class with Claudia. I would recommend her classes to anyone interested in a yoga that blends body, mind and spirit together. — BL, Rancho Cordova

Ann has been practicing yoga for over 30 years. She retired from Nursing after 25 years to become a certified Ananda Yoga Teacher and a certified Yoga Therapist. She has had a long history of having Lyme Disease and the many problems that result from Lyme. She feels that yoga is the one thing that deeply healed her when medicine did not. With her nursing background, Ann is able to see when adjustments in the yoga poses are needed for students with limitations whether acute or long term.
Ann teaches Sunday Sadhana, and rotates teaching classes on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. She also is certified to teach Restorative Yoga which is offered periodically at the Center.
I was having problems with a racing heart and shortness of breath for over a year. None of my doctors were able to help me. In just one session with Ann, I learned how to correctly breathe and slow my heart rate down. Now if I have problems I use the yoga techniques she taught me and I feel better. Thank you Ann! — K.P. Elk Grove, CA
I have been to physical therapists and chiropractors over the years for nagging back
problems and could not get relief from the pain. Ann was able to assist me in relaxing the muscles by breathing and correctly doing yoga postures. My back is better than it has been in years. — L.S., Rancho Cordova, CA
I have been teaching yoga at a local hospital since 2006 to patients and employees as my service. Though it may not be the most spiritual nor ideal environment for practicing yoga with occasional loud overhead speaker announcing “code blue in room so and so”, it has been a source of great joy for me to share Ananda Yoga there. People come in just to get some stretch or to relax a little, but they walk out having learned more about the true nature of who they are, their own divinity within, power of breath, inner joy, and other esoteric yogic truths. I see the transformative power of Ananda Yoga in each student and I feel it within myself, too. Sharing yoga with others in a group generates greater energy that we all benefit in the body, mind, and soul. That’s what keeps me going. I’m excited to teach at Ananda to be a part of its yoga community. I’m a licensed physical therapist since 1988 and co-owner of Radiant Health Center to practice holistic healing there.
I have discovered new balance, strength and joy in being in my own body through Yoko's yoga class! — SC, Rancho Cordova
Yoko's Yoga class was inspiring, helpful, and rewarding. I've been practicing yoga for many years now, yet have recently run into trouble with arm and shoulder pain that inhibited my ability to practice as I had in the past. Yoko's medical background, her in depth knowledge of anatomy combined with her spiritual awareness of the astral spine, her 1:1 attention to the postures had a profound influence on all of us! I have never had a yoga teacher with Yoko's profound physiological/spiritual mix and what a difference this makes! I highly recommend Yoko's classes, and I hope to attend more of them. — KR, Newcastle, CA
