Learn to Meditate – A Three-Class Series with Dr Michelle

Join us at our temple in Rancho Cordova for this in-person three-class series. This class will be offered on Thursday evenings at 7 PM: January 11, 18, 25. No experience is needed.
Meditation has been practiced by men and women seeking inner peace and joy throughout the ages. Through meditation, we contact and experience the innate joy of the soul. It deepens our sense of purpose and fulfillment in life.
Ananda is one of the oldest and largest centers for meditation training in the Sacramento Area. Tens of thousands of people around the world and from every walk of life have learned to meditate in Ananda classes over the past fifty years.

This class series offers the student an opportunity to not only learn the techniques of meditation but also to experience the practice of meditation under the guidance of a qualified teacher over the course of several weeks.
In this class you will learn proven techniques for relaxing the body, focusing the mind, and expanding awareness, thus experiencing peace of mind, profound joy, and a sense of connection with all life.
Those who have taken this class before (previously called Meditation Step 1) can review it for free. Please call the church office to register for a retake of this class.
This class is the first step for those interested in the practice of kriya yoga as described by Paramhansa Yogananda in his book Autobiography of a Yogi.
