Swami Kriyananda’s Birthday Celebration

Join your spiritual family in celebrating the birthday of Ananda’s founder Swami Kriyananda.
In 1948 Swamiji read Paramhansa Yogananda’s Autobiography of a Yogi. He was deeply moved by what he read, and immediately took a bus from New York to Los Angeles to meet the man who would become his guru. This initial meeting made possible the creation of Ananda some two decades later.
We will honor Swamiji’s life and legacy in this evening’s program, which will include music, shared inspiration, a video about Swami’s life, and a flower ceremony.
